Is there a company that pays or loans and assists in relocation expenses?
Sukotto asked:
I’m looking to move, on my own, to another state to pursue a career opportunity. The company I’m looking to join doesn’t cover relocation expenses such as apartment expenses, costs of moving, etc.

This is an opportunity that I’d hate to pass up, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any companies that deal with this directly. What I’m looking for is a company that would pay or ‘loan’ monies (but not a bank!) for the cost of an apartment and living expenses for the first month in my new location, to be paid back within a set amount of time. Again, I do not mean a bank as I’m not looking for a large amount of money and huge interest fees.
Any USEFUL information would be appreciated! Thank You!

Who, besides a bank, lends money?
Finance companies? They charge even more interest.
Credit union? Could be a good bet, except they can only lend in their areas, if you are moving they may not help you.
Get a credit card with 0 interest for 6 months.

Check out the info above there may be assistance there for you.
Also, depending upon how far away the move is. The high cost of moving vans, gasoline, boxes etc. In many cases it is cheaper to sell most all and buy slightly used when you arrive at the new town. Unless you are very attached to your sofas, sell and buy again. Go to a consignment store that has good quality furniture that is lightly used.
Live as a roommate for a while in the new city to off set some of the high costs of relocating. Or rent what you want but take in a roommate.
Best of luck,
